Who knows
Jeff I noticed your post and thought I'd start another thread. I'm posting as a normal (long time) club member, not trying to get in the BOD's business or be nosey. Also not specifically directed towards anyone.

"The offices of President, Vice President, and Treasurer are limited to two (2) consecutive terms of two (2) years."
Other offices on the BOD are unlimited term, so whenever the members serving in that roll are ready to step down that's when we hold an election.
We we started the club we had in mind that in December of every year we make a general call to the BOD to see if anyone wants to step down or take a break.
I know very well how much time and energy it takes to run CottonLand, specifically when the SCC comes around. I've seen other clubs burn out because BOD members got tired and didn't feel like they could back off of service. That is exactly why I steped back a few years ago. In other words, if the BOD is making the club less fun than it should be for any BOD member, then the club members ought to make it easy for that BOD member to back off so it can be fun again.
I'd consider serving again if nominated for any open position. I am also thinking of several new members who would bring a lot to the table if elected to serve on the BOD. All that to say that it may be a healthy time for some sort of BOD turnover.
BOD, can we open it up for dicussion (here) and hold an election at the DEC meeting if needed?
