Any oil pressure lines into the cab are not a dissaster waiting to happen, I disagree. But there is the chance of installing incorrectly. I would use teflon tape on the fittings and NOT overtighten.
Lots of airplanes have fluid lines in the cockpit for gauges. Now I am not saying autometer gauges are at aircraft quality. So if they are leaking internally, sounds like they are just crap. But I would not be afraid to install a gauge that has oil to it. IMOP anyhow
