I'm sure there is a million posts on this but I am lazy and horrible with the search function. I just picked up my 1990 4-runner with the 3.0 with 234K on it. The ses light of course popped up the next day and it has and egr code. Now on my 80 series it would go away after a few days of driving and no adverse affects or driving with it on. A lot of guys on that board would go through and replace everything in that system to still have the light pop up every now and then. I would like to avoid that if at all possible and I need to get my emission test so I have to fix it one way or another. I was wondering if this was as common on these motors and what the usual repair was. Thanks a lot!
