I've been running my 85 pickup for a few months since doing the EFI conversion. The parts came out of a 86 4Runner. I grabbed the cam but didn't swap it out when I did the conversion. Couldn't get any conclusive info so I did the swap this morning. Took about 2 hours. Everything remained the same except the cam. Timeing and valve adjustment were identical. It does seem to pull better and a bit smoother while accelerating and shifting. Idle and low speed seems to be a bit smoother. Not a huge difference but I'd say that there were some improvements and a bit less effort at 70 on the highway. I'm hoping to see a little less black soot in the tailpipe indicating to me that it was running a bit rich with carb cam. O2 sensor seems to be opperating but I may change it out as the computer should be controlling the mixture even if the carb cam was a little different.
