Thanks.

I've been distracted lately with building another performance off-road machine... I'm building a Specialized Enduro from the frame up: lotsa research and bargain-hunting going on.

The weather's been so crappy I haven't been anxious to take the cruiser out lately anyway, but I'm hoping to have my final bike order placed by this Wednesday... then I can get back to the cruiser for a bit.

You still got the old yota pick-up?
Whats the story with it?

Still got it... i plan to put it on craigslist within the next two weeks @ $900...

The good:
  • 1980 4x4 7' bed solid axles
  • 213k 4 cyl 4 speed (sale includes extra supposed 49k motor)
  • was inspected till Oct; needs exhaust and possible/probable bed rust repair (depending on where you go)
  • frame is pretty near perfect
  • runs & drives
  • 4wd works fine
  • 4 good 31" MT's + spare
  • new front rotors & calipers (iirc)
  • nice header
  • fiberglass cap
  • P.O. loved it & it appears to have been well maintained (e.g., everything's neatly labelled)
  • many newer parts (per P.O.) that i can't recall now
  • MANY spare parts go with it, including ~6(?) extra wheel/tires
  • good title in hand
The bad:
  • hideous paint job.
  • body: cab & front end are so-so, but the bed is pretty shot at edges & seams, ok elsewhere
  • burns some oil burn @ startup, but i've always let it sit a while between runs; runs fine once warmed up, some noise from air inj. pump
  • brakes are prob not bled well cuz it pulls to the right (parts are new)

$700 is what i want out of it.
