Hey yall,
Today I had some help on my LHD '85 BJ70, and we started trying to troubleshoot my EDIC motor (it will not engage the off position when key is turned off). As we were fiddling around with the wires, we noticed the motor would engage back and forth while the truck was idling but it would not move forward enough to push to the off position. Once I manually pulled the fuel cut off forward, the arm would then move to the correct (off) position. It cranks normal and moves back to the fuel position at ignition startup.
We did find a few harness plugs that were off and wanted to see if anyone can help me figure out the correct positions for these. Is this correct?
yellow circle goes to oil sender unit?
green circle goes to starter
red circle: I have no idea! I can't find a home for this and i"m hoping once I get it figured out, my EDIC will start acting right and shut off my 70 when ignition is off.
Any ideas or other recommendations to troubleshoot?
Thanks in advance!
