E-brake jammed

Hey guys I have a 07 Fj, went mudding this weekend didn't use all day today untill about 7pm after the temperature dropped 30 degrees from 40 to 10 and now my E-brake is jammed and wont release. Does anyone know if it is safe to drive to the dealer this way and find out if indeed it froze or if something jammed while I was offroading? suggestions ideas welcome!

Yeah sure! It will just need to be readjusted afterwards go for it! hell what harm could it do???




oh yeah, and the next time you go "Mudding" wash your damn truck on the way home.

On a serious note, it should be fine just be gently with it. Try dethawing the underside of your back axle by washing it. Also try lifting the handle, then pushing the button and letting down after you wash the undercarriage and e-brake cable well and you rock the truck a little

I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago. You got some water inside the e-brake and it froze up on you. Thaw it out and all should be well.
