Can't believe it took this long to get a thread going but we're going to DT on March 20th. RAIN OR SHINE :eek::eek:

Sounds like fun. I see from the website they have a restaurant. So, it's correct assuming they serve food there and we would not have to bring a whole lunch?

Phil--Don't know anything abut the restaurant other than what the website says. However, I wouldn't bet on making it back there for hot dogs so YES--brown bag your lunch.

I might go. Is this a day trip? Never been there. Will my truck keep up? I know the pace you like Ted!! :)
 
since my pace is exactly 0mph these days you should have no problems. Yes it's a day trip

Sounds fun. I really want an excursion!! I'm seriously considering the outer banks trip!!!
 
that would be a great trip and i'd be interested as well. The only problem is the +/- 8 hr drive in a trail rig.
 
Agreed, but my 40 rides pretty nice and its still cool. I asked for more details. Ive got a few weeks vacation to use before GSMTR!! Or lose, which is NOT an option!! lol

I dont think you could handle the 80, it already has a solid axle front end. :flipoff2: You would need some more practice with your mini first...
 
I've been to Dtown. A "restaurant" may be a bit to generous a description, but I ate dinner there two nights and was full both times. Food is OK, not cooking and getting back to drinking was excellent. It was cold as hell when I went so warming up was a nice touch.

It's muddy like no place else. You will get stuck, and you will need winch's. Other than that, I had a blast last year. Very little traffic.

Wish I could join you, but volleyball sucks up all of my weekends now.
