1989 FJ62, transmission issue...
Left for work this morning and didn't get a block before the transmission started dropping out of gear and acting all funny. I looped back home and when I checked the fluid level it was bone dry, looked under the truck and there was a little puddle. I put a half quart of fluid in and started it up, looked underneath and its dumping out of the front of the trans where it joins the engine...
Can this just be a gasket or rear main seal? Or are we talking bigger problems?
