Bud's stuff is beeefy and the service is great.
I have his single and dual case x-member/skids and they take a beating.

Also, his design gives you about 4" more underbelly clearance compared to a stock x-mmember.
 
I haven't heard a single bad thing about budbuilt stuff. I will probably go that route but I may have to use the stock one until my old lady gives me more spending allowance on the 4skin.... Full_M3TAL, do you have any pictures of how it looks after you moved the crossmember?
 
I actually own the 86 he's talkin bout. I definetly would not buy a cross member from anywhere. this one is working just fine. I'll post up some pics later tonight if want
 
For a month or so before I bought my BudBuilt, I just used the stock crossmember in the stock location. I just hammered the crap out of it so the front driveshaft cleared.
 
I have a brand new dual case budbuilt crossmember/skid for sale if your looking to save some $$.
And, yes, it is easy to continue to use your stock crossmember till you are ready to upgrade. They are a boat anchor though.
