Is it possible on an HDJ80? Thought crossed my mind, as FD vehicles have them.

Why?
Just upgrade to a high output alternator. There's aftermarket options up to ~200+amps, or Toyota/Denso units from Sequoia etc that out out 150amps.
Unless your running huge stereos, a heap of lights and a fridge all at once, 150 is loads of power.
