DRT fabrication cab/body mount relocate on a GX460

I'd say that turned out pretty darn good.
 
After getting it back on the wheels I have soo much room between the tire and the cab mount now!!

Once the cab mount relocate was done I got to work on the pinch weld. It wasn’t pretty but I hammered them back and then seam sealed and painted the area.

Soooo I definitly did a thing… I cut the little piece the goes from the outer fender to the pinch weld (where the side steps mount). I was rubbing my tire on it a little around town (expected to have serious rub offroad at full stuff) plus I’m never going back to the oem side steps. I didn’t realize that it was slightly structural in holding the fender/quarter panel together.. once I cut it it now has a little bit of give to the lower fender area. I like the look, and have a lot more wheel clearance but I’m going to need to fabricate and weld in a small bracket to bring back the structural integrity of the fender panel.
Side note what is the black fender spacer thing all about behind the wheel well liner? What’s it’s purpose?
