In the photo you see a housing along the front driveshaft. It is loose, slides freely back and forth and makes a jingling noise when I drive with the hubs locked. Should I be concerned about this and avoid wheeling until it is resolved? I was planning a short run in the woods tomorrow. It would be my first offroad trip in this truck. Otherwise 4x4 seems to be working fine. Front axles engage, both wheels turn. I did a little vacant lot test and the low range grabs very nicely.
That thing actually spins with what looks to be a fine amount of rusty silt on the splines?
