Hi, newbie here, so I'm unsure if this has been discussed elsewhere but I'm wondering if anyone has done a drip rail delete on their 75 0r 79 series ?

Deleting the drip rail is surley going to weaken that area a ton. It's also where a heap of spot welds are from factory. I've never seen it done before, on a landcruiser but that doesn't mean that it hasn't been done. I imagine that Mr Toyota put it there for a very good reason.

I'm only considering this due to excessive rust in both rear corners of the cab (in the drip rail) my main problem is that my cruiser is actually a troopy cut down into a ute, so its a custom job on the back of the cab and I cant get replacement panels for it.
