I am looking for advice on drilling a bulkhead on a 1985 bj73 land cruiser. I am trying to remove the freeze plugs from the rear of the block and can't afford to remove the engine to do this. I had the thought of drilling a hole through the bulkhead/ firewall and putting a long screwdriver through from inside the cab to knock out the plug. Is it ok to drill the bulkhead?? Any advice and ideas are welcomed.
Thanks

I can't see it weakening the bulkhead but it does sound like a lot of work gaining access to the firewall. Maybe you can give the welsh plug a good clean and pack it with liquid metal until you pull the engine at a later date.
