I was running around Sears today and noticed that their cheap drill presses actually came with a laser guided tip..

And I though "Self, that would be NEAT!!"

So the question is, who makes one for a 70's rockwell drill press?

Don't know about a Rockwell, I do however have the full standing craftsman drill press with the laser and have been very happy with it. Its a neat little addition to a very useful tool and once you have it sighted in its dead nuts on, no more lowering the bit to see if your on mark. Just light it up and go. Course I bought this before this years new Powermatic came out. Damn that thing is schweet. No laser but awesome toy.

Can't help you with where to get one but I have one of the middle line Sears (if there is such a thing) with a laser and its honestly a very nice feature. Sure you can live without one but it is sure handy when you are working alone with a big piece of metal and trying to line everything up...

Exactly, but I wonder if the crosshairs will varry with different table heights??

ALL I WANT IS A FREAKING LASER!! ;)

To make drilling multiple holes faster.

Besides, it is a laser.. why not?
