I know, probably a stupid question - what is the easiest way to ensure all coolant has been drained from the system... I have only gotten about 6 litres out, have the cap off and have the highest coolant hose ( at the firewall ) disconnected... do I really have to drain the engine via the side drain plug??

Kind of a self answering question!! You want the old coolant out but you don't want to open the drain plug?!?

If you want it all out open the engine drain plug and disconnect the LOWEST hoses. That should get you about 90% of the coolant. Any more than that and you'd best plan to turn the truck upside down and shake it!!

actually is there a way to get 99% of it out? im thinking of doing the waterless coolant switch.....
