Hey guys, looking for some help regarding steering parts, specifically drag link rods/ends. The joint/bushing in the photo has too much play to pass inspection.

I have a 1990 PZJ77, and need to find a replacement drag link rod. If anyone could verify part number(s), interchangeability with other 60/70/80-series cruisers, or vendors, I would REALLY appreciate it. Any help/info is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Thanks @sadam_husain ...that definitely helped to verify that I'm looking at the right parts.

UPDATE: @divemedic and I just ordered the following parts from a local shop out here in Okinawa, Japan:

Tie-rod Assembly (14300yen ~$117)
Steering Relay Rod Assembly (13000yen ~$106)
*Not incl shipping or tax*

The language barrier prevented us from verifying if the parts are genuine Toyota or aftermarket, but I'll confirm here when I receive them.

They are adjustable. Remove the split pin screw the plug out , some times they are tight, you may have to clean the thread with a wire buff before it comes. Remove plug cup pop arm off ball inspect ball and casing for wear. If they look good put cup back, plug in . Screw plug in until it goes tight then undo it 3/4 of a turn reline split pin hole and fit new pin. All fixed in 10 minutes.

Have you heard of the 'one cent solution' ? An American penny serves as a shim. Spring takes a compression set.

Well I'm gonna put this thread in the memory bank...

But honestly for this purpose the boots, at a minimum, would need replacing. The Japanese don't mess around with safety inspections. I had a pajero fail a recurrent inspection for not having back seats. @Kenavides is pushing his for its initial prefecture specific safety inspection. Plus it doesn't hurt to have a shinny new piece you know will last another 10-20 years.

I don't know how Toyota work out their prices but whenever I buy 45450-69076 draglinks from Toyota New Zealand (full retail over the counter price) they charge $45NZD (about $30USD) including air freight from japan and they come complete with the rod, TRE's on both ends and clamps, the price has remained the same for the past 10 years that I have been buying them. I don't think other countries get the same price we get over here

So, these got here quick. (Sorry for the bad pic, I had to pick 'em up, then head straight to my mechanic to drop 'em off.)
They're genuine Toyota, and they're the entire relay rod & tie rod assy's. Thanks again everyone!
