any one ever had one go bad? i think mine might be going south. no time to unlock the hubs and drive it again, my kids are going to be home soon. any how slight vibration and and noise, can not describe the noise it is hard to hear over the tires.

yeah ive had to have some of the u-joints replaced before, its like any other u-joint. A bit rarer to wear them out due to the joints "sharing" the angle. There is a 3rd wear point though, its in the center of the joint, IIRC I think it is a ball bearing, but its been a long time since ive seen the inside of one.

hey i know and have known that it is from an 87 not the original and it had grease in it when i put it on the truck, but then again i only gave it a quick glance, and i should have greased it then but my grease gun would not work cheap s***. any how i climbed under to grease it and it is dry, so i have a new grease gun and am going to throw some in and see what happens. and if nothing else i swap in the one from that 86.
