door check strap breaks window runner

Hi , is there any way to fix or replace this channel for the front window, the check strap on the door, over time , hits it and has now broken ??

Never seen anything like that before. I would suspect something's wrong with the door strap mechanism, or the person operating it (no offense intended). I assume that's the driver's side, right hand drive truck. I would see if I could rivet a c-channel or something onto the back side of that channel to splice it, or replace it entirely. I can't remember if that channel is welded in or not, suspect it is, which makes a better case for splicing something on the back of it.

I think that is the only option because it seems part of the door going right up , I have to find a c channel 23mm, thanks for your reply

Sorry for the thread resurrection but does anyone have any ideas why the door check would be hitting the window channel? My door was popping a bit so I took a look inside and noticed the door check was hitting the window channel. Unfortunately it twisted the channel a bit and broke the welds near the bottom.
