Don't knock thoses pesky running boards!

Today when my wife came home she parked her Towncar too close to the 80. She opened her door with gusto. I saw it happen and cringed - I heared the bang and then.......................... her door just crashed into the running board and nothing happened!

Everything has a hidden value somewhere.

I watched a guy open his door into my slider. Had a nice little half moon dent on the edge of his door. I bet he is more careful now.

The running boards have protected us numerous time in this very way.

Took them off for a week and my wife made me put them back on though.

My wife didn't like the running boards off either -- that's how I got the sliders ("They're kind of like steps, honey...").

I have found that the sliders are pretty good at taking out small children on bikes/tricycles in the driveway before they impact the vehicle.

we have some way high curbs in my town and i love watching my wife from the passenger seat when she gets too close to the curbs and grinds our sliders-she really jumps. I just touch them up once a month or so. i made mine so they stick a few inches out and also love watching morons open their doors into them.

Felt sorry for the chic, but it was her fault for opening the door to fast on my passenger side. Only regret is that I didn't have a digi camera to take pics.
