Just some advice for anyone thinking about using Japan Engines for a parts supplier,,,,,, I puchased brand new heads from them for my 3vze. One of the cams was not hardened poperly and the #6 exhaust lobe wore completely flat after 150 miles of driving, sending several ouces of ground up steel into my engine oil. I documented the failure with pictures and detailed the long process of diagnosing and finally repairing the head myself with a used cam out of my old head. I chose to buy new heads as opposed to remanufactured because I was trying to ensure that I wouldnt have problems with them!!!!! The cost of the heads was $824, The most Japan Engines was willing to do was refund me $50 if I mailed the cam back to them. The oil change alone to get rid of some of the metal fragments cost that much!!! They can keep the $50 and I will keep the cam to remind me not to buy from them again and to show to anyone I can. Check out the thread on 89 3vze missing on #6 for the story. Thanks for reading;)

The cam on the left is my old one, the right one is the new one with the missing lobe. Both are positioned the same and the #6 lobe is at the bottom, or was there anyway!!!!

I would be interested to know who his supplier of CAMS is? If I remember right, the owner was a guy nammed John. I think he sourced all his parts from NPR back in the day...

I got a complete bolt kit for the timing cover of a 22RE from them years ago. They were JIS bolts, so I was happy at the time.
