Trying to get to the bottom of my intermittent BJ-71 tach issue. Essentially picking up where I left off a few weeks ago. So I have the instrument cluster out, remove the clear plexiglass cover, remove the panel shroud and the tach faceplate screws and needle. Five terminal screws in the back and it is out. Check the continuity throughout the electrical components, spray a bit of terminal cleaner through it and let it dry. While it is drying I took some cable lube and poured (dripped) it down the speedo cable as most of the lube dripped out the last time it was apart resulting in a new rattle.

Ready to install the tach back into the cluster... screws in.. faceplate on... ensure the tach post is against the stop and push needle onto spline. Oops, it's misaligned. Pull it off and try again. Lined up ok now. Look at it from side... not completely on. Push a little more....SNAP...Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Post broke below the spline. Tach now unserviceable. Anyone got a part number?
