Oh he only weighs 30 lbs, about as tall as a beagle. He was just pissed because we but a bark collar on him that day! He's is a funny dog...when he was a puppy he used to run in circles then get on his hind legs and "air hump"!

i have a belgian malinois. great dog, but they are working dogs, so they need a lot of...work. they'll wear you out. they are very loyal and protective, but they can be very needy too. they are very smart and learn quickly though. they are very tough as nails too. mine is a female and on the smallish size (about 22" tall and 22" long, so she is square) and weighs around 50lbs. mate ide go an american bulldog, sounds like what you need, short hair, great companion and bush dog. have a real intimidating look and a brilliant guard dog.
i have one myself, a standard/scott breed. hes great inside the house and the biggest sook around but when it caomes time for him to protect me an my girlfriend or property, well you betta watch out! he will ALWAYS stop when i tell him too though.hes very obediant.
i dont have kids and hes hasnt been brought up around any. but he is absolutly brilliant with my friends kids. neva even raised a lip or growled and they put him through hell sometimes!
same as with ANY dog, kids should not be around them unsupervised anyway too prevent anything that may happen.
they are such a loyal dog and has been well documented that they will protect their owner to the death.
some friends of mine here in australia breed them (johnson breed) and they are of the exact same opinion. dont believe the crap about how they are killers. its the way they have been brought up, same as any other breed. any dog can be a killer if brought up incorrectly.
trust me in saying that once youve had one you will never want to go a diffrent breed. they are the best allrounder in my opinion.
