So let's just say that a Great Dane got spooked by fireworks over the weekend and peed (not just a little) in the middle row leather seats.

How would you go about cleaning it all out? Besides wiping it up immediately.
What products have other dog owners had success with in removing the smell?

Well leather is a different animal for sure
... But anything with enzymes for sure.

There's a pet store product called Natures Miracle that's made for that kind of thing. Not sure about leather but if it's the stock leather it's tough enough. Believe it or not rubbing alcohol removes odors of all kinds better than almost anything. It's my go to. My rear carpet got drenched recently and REEKED! Moldy musty funk. I soaked up the excess water and then poured 70% alcohol on it. As soon as the alcohol fumes were gone, so was the stink. Keep it in mind for future odor problems of all kinds.

There is a product called Odor Ban, you get it at Home Depot. Works great on all dog fluids. I have used it on leather couches before. I let it sit on the leather for a few seconds before wiping it up. Once the seat is good and clean you can follow it up with Maguire's leather wipes to help moisturize the leather. Mothers also makes good leather wipes. Stay away from anything made by Armor All.

Definitely an enzyme cleaner. Will eliminate the smell. Try petsmart.

ok. just had to check I wasn't in hundy tech.
Im sure no one regardless of make/model appreciates the strong odor of urine in their vehicle. How is the carpet? Have to pull it? Be a good time to throw in some sound deadener. There has to be a bright side to everything right?

Is an accident like this something that can soak into the cushion? Hope the OP can get it out. I have no experience with urine and autos. I have used spot shot in the home with great results but it may be a bit abrasive on the carpet. Also used Odoban too

It could be considered tech...
Thanks for the initial responses. I went and bought a gallon of advanced natures miracle and have poured that onto the seat and used my knee to work it into the seat cushion. I also soaked the carpet under the seat and directly behind the seat with natures miracle. I'm going to let it all set overnight at least and see what the enzymes can do for me.
I don't think much of it made it to the carpet. I was watching my poor guy as he peed... he got so scared he tried to jump from the cargo area to the very front seat. In the process he got stuck in the middle seat area and ended up unloading his bladder on the drivers side middle seat. The passenger side middle seat was folded up... so I know that one was not affected. And none made it onto the carpet/footwell area of the middle seat area. I had a bunch of stuff all on the floor and it was all dry.

We'll see how all this unfolds.
I could pull out the whole front carpet later this summer and pressure wash it.
I could try and find a new seat if nothing else.
I just can't be mad at the poor dog, he literally got the piss scared out of him.

Seats out LC.webp

Pulled all the seats and center console after work. Not bad at all, this picture was right at 1.5 hours.
Couple questions:
I pulled some of the carpet up and it looks like the jute padding is going to be tearing off, half on the floor and half on the carpet.
How hard is it to get off the floor?
Where can I source new jute padding that is as good or better? What thickness should I be searching for?

Since I have only owned the truck for a year or so, I don't mind taking the time to do a thorough and correct cleaning of the carpet. After 17 years I am sure it needs it.
