Does this belong on a 3FE?

I just updated my build thread and mentioned that I did an extensive 'unwiring' job this weekend on my 92. I tried to get rid of all the aftermarket crap that has been added in the last many years.

Anyway, I found this cap, about 3"-4" in diameter, laying between my battery box and my air filter box. I have seen something like it on my Kubota diesel mower, but I can't imagine where it goes if it belongs to the FJ80. Any ideas?

Mods can delete if you would like. I hate asking questions that have already been answered. I searched a little but was just really not sure it belonged on this truck and sure didn't search the words "tuna can". That was simple.
