what size spacer did you have on the front and back?i didnt when i added the spacers to my truck, the old springs were pretty tired so the spacers probably brought it back closer to stock height. later on i added the stock height ome springs and needed to correct the castor after that
Reviving this thread as I am going through exact same mental gymnastics to maximize lift and minimize caster and other drivability issues (I know every rig is slightly different). If I want to run up to 295s with stock weight 99% of time could I get away with the stock height Dobs +30mm spacers as you had? Less worried about rubbing because I don’t intend to flex but I would also like to avoid that if I can. Thanks!Stock weight stock suspension on 35s

Below 2 pics: stock weight stock coils WITH 30mm coil spacers all 4 corners, 35s (25mm lift over stock)

Below: same as above but added a 100# front bumper and 60# hitch bike rack (~20mm lift over stock)

Figured I’d chime in as I went thru this. The Dobinsons coils give a better ride vs the OG stock coils. The 1.75” lift with 35s is perfect for me as I was rubbing alot with any sort of weight on the stock +30mm setup. No caster correction currently. It’s not terrible with handling but I do want to add correction at some point.

Yes, I have those now and no fitment issues at all but looking to go to something a tad more nimble either 285 or 295/75r16. I’m more concerned about potentially fitting a 295.I ran 305/70r16s with original suspension on my daily driver for a long time.
That's a fairly wide 33" tire on 100% stock suspension, stock 8" steel wheels. Absolutely zero clearance issues.
I personally don't like the idea of a spring spacer, but have no real reason why not.
It would be easy and not much dollars to put spacers in place with your stock springs and trial it before making a final decision on what springs to use
Yes, as @mudgudgeon mentioned 295s should fit fine. Tire width is more of an issue than height with stock on stock. I rubbed with my 315s on stock wheels with load, but that is an expected outcome based on many threads on here.Reviving this thread as I am going through exact same mental gymnastics to maximize lift and minimize caster and other drivability issues (I know every rig is slightly different).
