Well, I used these same mounts on my 2006 LC to mount an awning and MaxTraxs to the OEM bars. Never having owned an LX I can’t say if the bar profile is the same, but I expect so.
For what it's worth, Yakima is also claiming it doesn't fit the 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser, so I think it's just that their fitment system is bugged.
Any thoughts on that little bit of angled metal that's supposed to get clamped in there? What purpose does it serve? Seems like it's going to mar the finish on the OEM rack.

I have used the Yakima Mighty Mount 23H on my 2006 LC for maybe 5 years now. They fit the LC crossbars perfectly. The metal creates a snug fit and aids in the clamp down / tightening process...my opinion. I used the 23H for multiple items as I take the items off after every trip: HF Apache long rifle case for tools, spare parts, recovery equipment, etc and also RotoPax mounting. You should also look at the Gamiviti @nakman factory roof rack add-ons. My favorite to mount my awning (again...on and off for every trip) are the accessory angle brackets => Rack Brackets — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/rack-brackets I also own several other Gamivit factory mount options but this one is the simplest for my use.
