Do I replace my 2 year old OME setup because I got body roll?

I shaould have asked this initially. What is your tire pressure. Are you driving soft tires ? Soft tires can cause your ride to wallow.

The lifespan of shocks differs with the user, the roads he drives and the manner in which he drives. Shocks also have fun things like valves, pushrods and seals inside to preserve you gas or fluids whichever type you may have. They are also called, probably more accurately, dampers because their purpose is to dampen the movement of your springs and thereby give you a more stable ride by preventing the weight of your vehicle from playing bouncy bouncy.

Unless you were very unlucky and got a set made with inferior materials, springs do not give way unless overloaded to a reasonably extreme excess for long periods. OME is known here as well as there and is known for quality. I rely on their reputation. Your springs are very unlikely suspects.

It's a fairly safe bet that your problems with the LC leaning when turning are in the shocks being soft or no longer working well. It's not a good thing to have as I think it dangerous, but that's just me. I'm not familiar with the OME codes so I really have no way of being definitive about your shocks. However your ride is now taller and your engine has always been a bit hefty. Stiff shocks on that monster won't feel all that stiff once installed simply because of all the weight involved. Also, being taller, the shocks may well be overextended or pretty near their full extension. I doubt that shocks work all that well when fully or near their limits. A tremendous amount of your ride quality is defined by the suitability of the shocks and springs you install.

I suspect that your shocks are soft or busted. If you need to replace them, try stiffer shocks. If they are in good condition, try stiffer shocks.

BTW, if you do try stiffer shocks, make sure they are the right size for your taller car.

If you have a friend with a cruiser, a very patient, kind good friend, check out his shocks and ask for a short ride.
