So as some of you may know, I have a 1971 fj55 somewhere up at a friends yard in Powell River, slowly reverting back to its original state of iron ore. It has many fine goodies, such as brand new door seals in original toyota packaging, a tired F engine with power steering, offenhauser intake, was either a weber or holley 2 barrel, header, nice celica seats, and extensive reciepts from the original owner (me being its 2nd owner).
As chance would have it, I could acquire yet another 'much needed ' project. A 1972 fj55 in slightly better shape bodywise but sans engine/tranny (the engine/tranny in the '71 might as well be 'sans' too).
But of course I have no room here in the city to store or even start such a project, so upon the grace of my good friend it could possibly share space with its brethren until such time as it could be made whole.
So the question is....why? I shall perhaps leave this question of great debate unto the polling gods, and see what comes of it.

edit: I should add the wife has allowed me this purchase (ain't she the bomb!:) ) due to the fact that we dont have the tacoma anymore for family camping trips. The 40 is just to 'unroomy' for such ventures, and the 45..well, I cant afford that 2nd mortgage at the moment :crybaby:
She does like 60's, but 55's are just way too cool.

 FJ55's are almost extinct. In fact I can't remember the last time that I saw one (on the road). With two to piece together you could end up with one valuable nice rig.

buy it!
I've chopped up about a dozen rusted out crap cans (FJ55's)
None were worth fixing. I need someone to buy my FJ55 crap!!!!!!

Does anyone know anything about the pig you can see from the East-West connector? I've been driving past it on my way to work for the last few years. Haven't gone to enquire about it yet, I don't have any storage space.

If your heading west on Hwy. 91 as you cross over the railway line that cuts through the cranberry feilds, it's visible to the north. It's parked next to some other vehicles and partially covered by a tarp, IIRC.
