My old (15+ years) distributor failed mechanically. After a nice cruise around the area I parked in the driveway. Later it just wouldn't start. Something came loose and scored the inside of the cap. I took it apart pretty much because I had never seen the inside of one. Nothing jumped out at me.
So now I have a distributor that has no ID tag or number, but it ran for 10 years with points, and then another 5 with an XR700.
does anyone want the pieces? Don't know if someone would like to try and fix it or could use some of the parts. Don't know if the XR700 was damaged when the dizzy failed, but it looks OK.
