I build the same design platform almost 20 years ago and it has withstood the test of time.
So the demonsions are 53x41x10 1/4 if you use 3/4 inch plywood like I used. Total cost 75.00 it took 2 1/2 hours to complete. I used 4x4s for the legs. It is a little over kill.😂 I did the rear tailgate switch last night. Without it would be a pain to get out or shut it after you get in.

11 inches I have strap going across through the D rings! It is not going anywhere.. great storage area!!
