I thought oil was leaking past the o-ring at the distributor. I pulled the distributor and noticed the old o-ring was still in good shape. I replaced the old with the new o-ring anyhow. What I found out was the oil was not leaking past the o-ring but was leaking through (inside) the distributor housing itself. In fact some of it was draining down the hole at the bottom of the distributor assembly and seeping past the distributor cap gasket. In fact, before I replaced the distributor cap, I had to wipe up the excess oil at the bottom of the distributor housing. Is this fixable, or does this mean I need to replace the distributor all together?
