I'm nearly ready to pull the trigger on a LC in Jacksonville. Is there anyone near by that would be willing to critically look at it before I drive up? I will compensate you. I'm having a couple of last questions answered and then I'm ready to take the next step.

Maybe post over in the Florida Clubhouse groups. We use to have people post in our clubhouse page when people were looking at vehicles in our area and someone was always willing to take a look for them. Posting in the 200 forum only hits those with 200's but there are owners in the other threads here as well for other models that might be willing to help out as well. There are a lot of us here that have owned or own multiple cruisers and are familiar with all the models because we are big fans of all the Land Cruiser models. Maybe cross post in this one FL- Florida Land Cruiser Association

Sorry to hear it. I shopped hard for 6 months I had alerts set up on all the major car sale sites and I checked the local aunctions and the classfieds here pretty much daily. I missed a few out of state to local people that strolled up and swiped them from me. When your negotiating from out of state I don't think they take Land Cruiser owners serious enough many of us will gladly hop on a plane or travel to get the rig that fits our parameters. The 08 - 13 LC's in the 30 - 35K range were flying off the lots when I was shopping 3 years ago that was also my budget range because I was gonna spend another 5 - 7K in mods for it. Maybe post a wanted thread in the classifieds in the 200 section lots of good people here and if they stumble across what your looking for they notify you there. Also there are folks that post leads to nice rigs they stumble on in those classified sections.

I'll never know who purchased it, but I was concerned while posting the thread that I may have been too specific about the vehicle. Maybe someone lurking in the thread saw that and jumped on it. I guess that is a risk we take when leveraging a forum. My short experience with this forum, however, has been extremely positive and the benefits received here far outweigh any possible risks of a public forum. I was an in-state potential buyer btw, but Florida is a LOOONG state and it was a 5 hour drive for me to go see it.

I'm a firm believer that if it is meant to be, it will happen. I wasn't real fond of the color anyway (at least that's what my therapist told me to think in order to get this loss out of my mind).....

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face! I live in Jacksonville. Bought a 2015 LX570 here in 2017. It was like new with the weather here it's still like new. Every year I get under it with my creeper, it looks just like it came from the factory. Other then the sunshine Jacksonville has to be the best environment any vehicle can live in. Roads are smooth as silk, weather is perfect. Just keep it waxed.
