I just finished installing a Uniden CB in the DIN recess below my aftermarket stereo and need a faceplate to cover the gaps.

I should actually say, I'm almost done. I'm waiting on my 3' antenna cable so I can do the SWR tune on both of my antennae (3' and 5') and then I'll be ready to permanently mount it.

Pics below. Does anyone know where you can buy blank faceplates to trim for applications?

I ended up with a sheet of black, textured ABS from Amazon when I did mine and then cut to fit. You might check your local custom stereo shop though.

Is that the 520xl ? I'm getting ready to install one of those next week. I was planning on putting it in the ashtray slot as all it really does is hold my change.

This one is the 510xl. Seems to be a pretty good unit. I'm still tuning the antenna, but looking forward to getting it finished up and in use.

I'm planning this same install for the weekend, only I picked up a 520xl. Just went to the local Autosound store today and picked up a half sheet of ABS plastic for $10. I'm going to do mine in that din slot as well, simply because

A) I don't want to clearance out the ashtray

B) I don't want to have to solder in a pigtail in order to get the thing to sit flush in the ashtray slot. According to my measurement it would stick out at least an inch.

Let us know when you get yours done and post up some pics.
