Hey guys, haven't found anything relating to different crankshafts snout configurations but maybe someone else has runinto something.
So I bought a reground crank from my machine shop and he said the only difference is that the new one has 2 key holes instead of one like my original had.
The issue is when I attempt to install the crank pulley it goes on hard then when I get to a certain point t the hammer makes the high-pitched PING sound and feels seated.
The pulley still needs to go on 1/4" to be flush with the snout and it doesn't seal against the timing cover like before. I'm a dumbass and attempted to use the impact a couple times. The crank threads look ok but the nut has one more go at it and I can't screw it up.
Also, if you know of anyone who has a spare transfer case that will bolt up to the H42 I need the case itself. It's split...long story.
It's been 3 years, I really want to drive it again. Any help is appreciated.
I will post pics after work, I know you guys love pics.
