I had to use a die grinder with dremel cutoff wheel to get the number plate off my 13BT’s injector pump.
I literally put it under a microscope to read the Denso part number.
It’s Toyota 22100-58400.
Denso 191000-2321
I googled these numbers and found very little info… few hits.

Is a repair shop here in USA going to be able to find parts?

Any injection pump shop that services Denso should be able to. There are some here local to me that do. MD Distributors is one for example.

Time might be a negative factor.
Mechanic wants to have parts in hand before starting.
I plan to drive West in July.

Oh ok. I am sure you can find a shop near you that services Denso pumps. They obviously go on domestic vehicles too but I don't know which ones.

Near and Far are relative terms.
I drove an hour today to see the guy’s shop and talk with him.
Another shop is 2 hours away in the humid choking swamp just south of Washington DC.

I drove an hour to visit a diesel shop in the Shenandoah Valley.
Several positive aspects were apparent.
No young workers visible.
Many types of diesel vehicles and machines on site.
Owner listened before talking.

shenandoah

They will do some research before I call again next week.
Fingers crossed.

Injection pump parts are generally in stock, somewhere, for decades. I would be reluctant to allow anyone to dismantle the pump or even work on it unless they can tell you why they need to.

If you've got the Denso reference starting with 1# this is a marine pump, if it start with 0# this earthly pump !!!
