I accidently lengthened my drive shaft when replacing bushes and shackles on the rear of my 1988 hj75 troopy. It lengthened about 8mm when the rear axle moved a little with the springs removed. It was a bugger trying to line up the springs and try to push the shaft back in. Used a ratchet strap from the axle to the front chassis.
. Is there chances of drive shaft damage pushing against either transmission or diff? I think it should be ok and settle back in. but just asking
