Stripped

The mangled running boards are off and going to the dump tomorrow. ONly problem.....having had them on for about 8 years I keep forgetting that they are not there anymore, so I've fallen out the truck and banged up my shin getting into the truck a few times because of it, NO RUNNING BOARDs EVER! I'm sure you like hearing that Pismojim... Good times!

Big Bear B4 Christmas?

Hey Young Costa Mesans - will there be a Big Bear trip before Christmas?

Last two pictures I have from the trip - the xzl stuffed hits exactly where Christo had pointed out. Need to do some trimming of the flares until I loose them.

I'm out for this Sunday...forgot about the birthday party for some neighbor kid. BTW happy belated birthday Clown....

I'm calling the ranger tomorrow to see what's open near Arrowhead and BB. Check out 2NI7X trail...might pull off some running boards?

C'mon page 5..almost there..like David up that giant sand dune...can't get owned by that Chevy...

I will be out on a training ride all sunday... I do want to hit Big Bear though...

Ammo you are high - the XML's and XZL's will put the older XL's to shame!

My b-day is actually the 27th so it's not too late to lavish me with alcoholic gifts...

More than the sheer number of ridiculous posts for this trail ride/report is the number of views! WTF!

Someone please start ANOTHER thread for upcoming BigBeer trip. I must get snow for my youngin'.

114, and going for page 5....

If you're still hanging in with this thread you deserve a  but you'll have to settle for another trail pic.

How many cruisers in this photo?

Well I have to jump on this one. I had work last week and was not able to make it out but hopefully will make it for next trip. BB sounds like a lot of fun. I will be putting on my ARB this weekend and hopefully sliders will be around the corner along w/ the Kaymar. As soon as you guys have more info for BB or any other run please post. I'd like to meet all the Crusierheads in So. Cali and surrounding areas.

Steve

web wheelin! Yee-hah, my runnin' boards are safe!!!

Ok, Jim I count 5 not including the two reflected in the lens of K's glasses ;)

We're gonna have to start photoshopping some images here pretty soon. Anyone have a big blue backdrop.

A few more to keep this honest...

Jim, Jeremy and Sam (I think, sorry if I got confused. It was soooo long ago).

Jim and company descending into the valley on switchbacks.

Me avoiding a pine tree.

well, not to keep this thread going longer, but we may actually have done OK.

Check out this account of Miller by a group of Heepers:
http://www.off-road.com/4x4web/travels/lockwood.html
toward the end, right before the "how to get there" is the list of carnage sustained...

and there is of course the infamous LandRover axle break photos around...

LCs Rock! (as if you didn't know already...)

more: in
http://www.off-road.com/toyota/trips/jamboree99/
it says that their 4Runners lost 2 rear ends and one front end at the end of Miller... (not sure what that means but doesn't sound great) hmmm.... so much for the baby cruisers?

E

added: oh yea, and of course on all the accounts it says to turn *left* at the top! :D
