Confirmed for Saturday.

Meet in Harrison on the main road along the beach between 10:00 and 11:00 on Esplanade Ave where the lagoon is.

Departure is at 11:00.

We will check out the area where Big Silver comes out to the lake to ensure space available for the group, then head to the river to have lunch. After lunch we will check out the mine shaft (for those who have not seen it) on the way back to Harrison Lake for a campfire and enjoying the late afternoon...to whenever we are motivated to drive back.

If Harrison/Big Silver does not look good for a campfire on the drive through/check we will set up on the Big Silver river where the camping typically is.

Will have VHF on 146.460 but be on portable with external antenna so no stellar comms.

See those of you who can make it, in the AM.

Thinking of another day run and campfire. Weather at this point does not look too bad and other then another upper stream dumping for the day it will be a go. Thinking Big Silver or where Big Silver comes out to Harrison. Family friendly day envisioned. More details as we get closer.

Hmm might have to get some insurance...

Im looking to get a drive in depending on the day, lots of birthdays/family next 2 weeks.

It will be maintained on Saturday as some intrepid folk have already booked and prepped for Saturday.

Bring wood for the fire and your wet weather gear.

Last I heard it is all clear well past Big Silver just now. There is the call for potential snow in the eastern Valley tonight. If that happens there may be a little snow (or icy patches) on the main FSR up to Big Silver.

???

One of our favourite camping spots is Chain Lake a few clicks west of here.

Another successful campfire and smokie day. 5 vehicles in total and we pulled back into Harrison to air up around 22:00. Two LandCruisers, one Taco, one 4Runner and one Nissan Xterra.
