We have all seen advertisements that read: Southern truck, no rust.
This photo and the thick layer of moisture was take under the garage so you can imagine what it would look like if it was parked outside longterm. Georgia, like many Southern States average 50"-60" of rain on an annual basis and the humidity can run in excess of 50% but don't worry, these conditions are not conducive to rust.
All of this leads to my other favorite advertisement: Rust in the usual places .... Easily repaired. :)

Unless the vehicle is in a full time garage or you see the term "South-West" in the advertisement, approach with caution. You don't need salt to have rust.

At least you guys don't have road salt, that's the real killer.
The only salt we have is on the fried chicken which explains the mid-fifties average life expectancy.

CONFIRMED. Drove my BJ70 for years and years in Edmonton and no signs of rust at all. When I took a month-long winter trip to Houston area the rust started appearing! All that humidity & rain!

This has been my view for 3 days. (3"+ of rain so far). I'm glad everything is garaged.
