Seriously, it does have 5 different kinds. What should one look for in truffle oil? I was curious to try it out :D
 
Most truffle oils dont even contain truffles. You want to find one that is a natural oil and doesnt contain too many truffle substitutes.

Thanks to Mud and an earlier thread describing how truffle oil is really a synthetic product, I've stopped ordering anything in a restaurant that comes with truffle oil.

Think truffle fries.

you want to stay away from oil that uses dithiapentane in their process.

However, if you cannot fork out $60+/bottle for the real stuff and want to try it then just use what you can find. Truffles are a real treat..
