My best friend just picked up his first 80. It's a 91, has J's up front and 863s in the rear and his hated it with a passion when he brought it home.
She had mentioned to me that she wanted to go the Salton Sea to check out the beach made of bones so this weekend we packed up the families and convoyed down there. Their kids spent the afternoon exploring, finding weird stuff, etc. It became an educational adventure away from the TV.
Long story short, she now appreciates the cruiser and wants to go out again.
My question to you guys is where are some good places for us to check out within an hour or two of Banning/Beaumont that her and the kids would enjoy that are not easily accessible without 4 wheel drive?
It's still a bit cold for big bear so I was thinking painted canyon or berdoo canyon? Maybe explore around Calico?
Any other suggestions?
