No - we're just driving. You only need one if parked for more than just lunch. If, however you want to support the program, get an annual pass. $30.

I picked up a second car annual pass when I bought mine for an add'l $5, so if you need one while you are with me, I'll rent it to you for the day for $5. Better than a ticket!

CB would be nice, but not necessary - you just miss out on all the fun chatter and something occasionally serious like warnings about oncoming traffic, etc.

That's what i thought about the adventure pass.

I'll install my CB saturday so i can yack it up.

You've only done it one time since we went, I've gone at least four times. I'd like to try a night run to make it a little more challenging.

That is a fun time. The last time I ran Millers I ran it on Halloween and we didn't start untill 8pm. The best part is a club (Don't remember the name) had decorated the entire trail and had members out there with black lights, spooky music etc. They also had a few that would hide behind a tree and jump out and scare the :censor: out of you. The best was a guy that was hanging from a tree made up to look like a lynched dummy but when you got close, gotcha! I imagine he got sore by the end of the night though. Good time. I am up for a Millers run day or night if anyone wants to go. Haven't been in awhile.

Look forward to seeing new people on Sunday. Except Smitty, I don't want to see him.

Without chicken strips!:flipoff2: I have been craving them since we did up your LX. Hint, hint. :D Oh, you can get a pretty good cb at Radio shack for $50 and an antenna. Give me a buzz if you want to get one set up before this weekend.

Runs out of Frazer Park north of Gorman and ends at the summit in Hungry Valley OHV. Can be done in one day if the group is not too big. Officially Miller Jeep Trail.

Depends on what your day time is. If you have to drop off and pick up kids at Magic Mountain that could pose a problem if you have any trouble on the trail. It could definitely be done as a day trip. Only about 30-45 minutes north of MM.

I’m in :D how about a 2nd meet at the Fawnskin Fire station at say 9:30am on 8/6?
CB channel 8

Driving my green hornet 80 and will most likely be bringing some other trucks along with.

3N08 is a real basic trail so we’re going to have to run some others for a challenge like maybe Larga Flats (2n06X).

While we’re on 3n08 might as well do so basic clean/maintenance for the AAT so bring some trash bags and shovels and we can clean up a bit. Another club I’m in use to maintain this one so I have a good idea what normally needs to be done.

Sounds good - trail is fairly clean of trash - we picked up what we saw last weekend, destroyed one illegal fire pit and dismantled what looked like a hunting blind. What needs doing is some branch trimming, and lots of trail blocking for idiots that have created trails off the authorized trail.

sounds great, I can drop the kids any time. and as far as i'm concerned pick-up is optional (just kidding) can be any time before the park closes.

Total hours for the trail? high and low est.

Longest it's ever taken me.. is 8 hours. (fright night 2002) Think we got back to camp around 2am .. sucked.

If you blazed through it nonstop... probably an under 2 hours for the actual trail. It takes 40 mins just to come down Alamo mtn afterwards and takes 20 mins to get to the trail head at the start.

Usually it's a day run. Plan on spending a good 4 hours at least if you're stopping for lunch at Lockwood creek.

Let me know if anything needs to be updated. I think that the Carl's Jr. on Green Valley is about as Central meeting place that we can ask for. 7 am should be a good time too. Second meeting @ 9:30 am @ Fawskin Fire Station.

Sounds like we'll have time for breakfast at the fire house. There's a nice little place right across the street :)

330 should still be open. I know it's going to be shut down for about 2 months here very soon to repair damage below the roadside. For that period, only option is 38.

That's the one. I think it was 1998 or so that I ran Fright Night. Cool to hava an event that is so different from the norm.
