everything on the dash is a green light, gauges abd all the switches, just wondering if u can change them out or not with a different color or r they white bulbs with a green screen over them, please let me know

I haven't looked at the 80 specifically, but all the other toys I have owned are white bulbs with colored condoms on them. You can get red bulbs (not covered) at your local auto parts, but be warned the blue has never been bright enough to see a difference.

Bulbs are white with green condoms for the key ring, the floor shifter, the cig lighter ring, and the heater back light. The lights in the switches are a combination of type B, type A twistlocks, and hard soldered LEDs. The instrument cluster is 194s and 74s.

I'll probably order all the LEDs soon and post back.

Oh that's a mod I forgot to mention here. All my lights are white. All the buttons, the dash lights, the PWR and 2ND lights, climate control, everything. I used white LEDs. White is neutral so it looks good anywhere. My truck looks awesome and modern.

Do not use blue lights as blue light has its focal point before the retina (and not on it) and it can make your eyes tired after a while. If anyone needs more reassurance, I can elaborate on the subject. But so far, believe me, white, amber, green, yellow, even red are good. Blue is bad.

I will never go back to bulbs. I hate bulbs and I hate condoms even more.

Did you change all those out yourself? Where did you get the LEDs?

root,

what bulbs you running in that dash?

Also are those white faced dash gauges?

Root,

Those look great! I gotta do mine like that.... What kind and where did you get them? My a/c-heater control lights are out too. You know.... the buttons that control the air flow (up on the dash or on the floor....) How do you get to them to change them though?

Thanks

SC

I wonder how they wired this to check if all the lights work before fitting it back in. I'm doing this now and I have to plug, unplug, plug, unplug (you get the picture), as the LEDs I got are not dual polarity (if that is the term). So some are not lit. It just makes it a little tidious.
