Hi all, long-time follower, first time poster.
Thought I’d post this for anyone wondering about instrument cluster compatibility, specifically upgrading an early 2007–2011 200 Series cluster to the mid-facelift 2012–2015 version.
I can confirm the later cluster is a straight swap into the earlier vehicle. The two rear connectors are identical, it plugs straight in, and in my case everything worked correctly — gauges, warning lights, steering-wheel controls, gear display and all MID functions, including the factory digital speed readout.
One important thing: make sure you also grab the matching 2012–2015 instrument cluster surround/trim. The original early-model trim will not fit over the later cluster because the housing and centre display are taller.
I fitted a 2013 URJ petrol Sahara cluster into my early petrol UZJ 200 Series and it has been faultless so far. I can''t see why the diesel would be any different. No fault codes, speed reading is accurate, and no wiring changes or coding were required.

Nice. Does the TPMS give you tire position now?
