Radio theft forces me to replace my instrument panel. While in there I thought it best to go ahead and replace the dash lights. All the bulbs except for one really tiny bulb are 158's some with the green condom on them.

Been reading on here that others have replaced with green or red 194's. Any problems with going to the slightly higher wattage/volatage 194 bulb in favor of losing the condom. Would replace with green 158's but cant seem to find any, even at topbulb.com.

Thanks

I don't think you would have a problem using the 194's, but you can go with LED's and not worry about the wattage at all...

Those are nice. I just replaced my gauge cluster green(condom)bulbs with some 194 green Japanese bulbs. They're not as green as I thought they'd be, but they're an improvement.

Those L.E.D.s are nice!

At that price, I'd order a whole bunch of each kind to see which one(number of l.e.d. bulbs)would give me the best result.

Anyone know what the dome light bulb number is????

Thanks for the input

thought about the LED's but have heard others say they dont have enough of a dispersion pattern to light the gauges.
