Dan Kunz house hit by Tornado

For those that know him Dan's house was hit by a tornado. Luckily everyone is ok they rode it out in the basement. Sounds like it hopped over the house but major damage and Avacodo is likely no more.

Wow. Gald him and his family are OK.

Brings back memories when I lived in Houston. I would rather have a hurricane coming in since you can prepare for it.

Tornado - ouch. You just dont know where its going to go. I remember watching one that was trying to form miles from where I lived. Scary.

Smitty lives closby by - I wonder how hes doing.

Smitty is fine, I talked to him this morning. He drove home from work to the serenade of tornado sirens but none came through his neigborhood. Has had a few semi close calls in the past 3 weeks or so.

All is good on my end. I am tired of hearing those damn sirens though. The same storm that hit Dan is the one that Mo referenced me driving home through. We had very little rain in my area, just the dark green sky with wind. The bottom of the storm ended up 2-3 miles north of my house and even though that is close, the weather was fine for me. I talked to Dan yesterday and he will be able to salvage Avacado and he will be follow some sort of similar path as Sam. The first thing he told me was that the roof would be coming off! Sounds like they have his house under control and he was not condemned like some of his neighbors. I miss the desert...even a little more now.

Very glad you and the family are okay.
I know how it feels when youre thinking of a young one thats relying on you to keep it out of harms way.

In all honesty, the West Coast is really overrated...NOT! Just kidding. But really its better.
