Hey all...man it's been a long time since I wrote anything huh?
I got a mis-fire, no MIL illuminated yet, but there was a pending code for cylinder #5 mis-fire. It started after braking pretty hard, but it would only mis-fire at low RPM (< 2k) and low throttle input. Said another way if you 'got in it' the miss would clear up. Well, I looked at the engine harness and it looks to have been touching the EGR. I gave it a pull and the miss was gone got a 30+ mile drive.
I'll try and report back when I open up the harness if there's anything to be found; but let this be a lesson to us all to pull the harness away from the EGR valve and/or inspect it for issues as part of care-and-feeding of your 80.
