got a reply this morning to my note. sounds like he's in alaska on work for 2.5 weeks.

looks like the buyer of the truck is the hassle and he regrets leaving the bumpers on for legal delivery. as for the lawyer, don't know.

i paid him before and said i'd be up at some point to pick it up when i was in tahoe for a trip. my plan is to give him until he gets back from alaska, talk with him and then if he's still having problems with the guy in Placerville, i'm going to start harrassing him myself to make it happen.

the number i have for him is this: xxx-xxx-xxx. that's his land line though and i don't really think his girlfriend is in any position to deal with this.

I have a cell phone number that's different but I don't want tp post it, maybe you shouldn't post his land line either.

Was it a PM he replied to or do you have an email address?

The girlfriend may not be able to deal with it but the money was sent to her. Figure she would let him know to contact me since that's what I asked her to do.

I don't know, a simple email isn't asking much. He offered to refund my money but I told him to keep trying and keep me informed. I'm not going to accuse anybody of anything (except poor communication) until I have a verifiable reason to.

They do have phones and internet is AK

It's now been over a month. Loeky, you have a date when he returns? This is absurd to think the guy who has the truck with bumpers will still have them. I predict they're long gone.

I have to add at this late date that Shawn did come through and I have the bumper. It took a long time but he was true to his word. Not fast but all's well that ends well.
